(Image may be subject to copyright. Read the note at the end of this page.). I'm Yala, a half-elf born into a nomadic tribe of wanderers. As a child, I believe I saw more countryside than most explorers. We were an organized people, the children were taught to hunt at an early age, proficiency with a bow was required. The boys were schooled in battle while the girls were taught to cook, sew, and care for children. Every memory I have is one of happiness, community and love. When I was 8 years old our camp was pillaged, the strange riders took our woman and children, killed our men. I hid, I survived, the memories haunt me. I pray to my ancestors every night for guidance. I woke up to a woman kneeling over me, her name was Nimeth. She was a kind old woman, fed me, clothed me. When I was 10 Nimeth died, so I left in search of something. After awhile I met a family of gypsies, but when I say family I don't mean a small group by any means. There were probably 50 people, men, women, families, travelers, dogs.. I was amazed by this sight. They were merchants, dealing in furs, exotic spices and musical instruments. I was approached by a little boy, his name was Dinen. After introducing me to his mother, she decided to foster me. That night we celebrated like one could never forget. There were fire dancers, songs, stories, women reading palms and bones.. We feasted, we sang, I'll never forget that night. I lived with Dinen for many, many years and learned the mysterious ways of the gypsy. I learned to tell stories, sing, fire dance, play several instruments, I couldn't have asked for a better home. As I grew older, however, I began to grow restless. Not long after my 23rd birthday I decided to leave my adoptive family and see the world for myself. I recently woke up in a strange place called The Paper Cabin. I'm not sure what this place is, but I intend on finding out.
This place is stranger than I could have imagined.. In my first few days here I have met many people, they seem friendly. One of them is a woman who prays to mushrooms, it's curious. Yesterday I met a man named Fyrd who is helping me adjust to these new lands..

Today is my 20th day, I've met many people and done many things.. My second day here I found a strange device, I opened it, I heard screams.. I've fought many battles, made many friends.. There are the sisters, Ocean and Raine..Vibrant girls with an amazing sense of adventure. Rasiel taught me how to channel my energy into magic, it hurt..Then there is Methys, the founder of the cake eaters, I joined too.. Keida and her beautiful children, her unpredictable brother Nuke... I met a fairy, named Iridian and the twins Cinder and Draci, and Agis Asticles...a dear friend.
I'm still not quite sure what exactly is going on around here, but I can say It's beginning to feel more like home.. I can usually be found in the branches of the willow tree..it's peaceful there.

I fell into a strange meditation recently and had bizarre dreams..(Mp4 story mode) Since I have returned, I feel..different...I have changed physically, mentally..I feel stronger.. I don't understand any of it really, strange changes.. We'll see where this adventure goes from here..
Day 28: My friend Pyro returned from his journey, bringing me the most amazing flute.. He made it himself, it's solid brass and has the most amazing etchings in it.. Thank you Pyro!

Today is my 30th day..I met Jester, he magicked a large group of us to the Tunnels of War for a celebration, announced his queen...it was quite a thing.
I have been in these strange lands for 54 days now.. I have many, many stories to tell but I find I'm lacking time to do so.. I've gained citizenship to Loreroot, began researching Savelfuser, and become obsessed with the Adventure Logs.. Learning a lot of interesting things about these lands.. I will add more as time allows..
Day 73.
I am growing accustomed to the oddities of this realm. When I first came I was trepidatious, apprehensive and alone. As each day progresses I find more reasons to call these lands home. In my short time here I have made many friends, solved a few mysteries and I've grown to understand who I am a bit better.. I've seen happiness, sadness, beginnings and ends.. Watched a queen ascend, witnessed her fall.
It seems my dear friend Pyro unknowingly avenged my parents, having personal issue with the merc company involved. He has my eternal gratitude. Some time back I met Loralavandrel, I gave him apples and water...he gave me a wooden box filled with black pearls.
My dear friend Agis gave me an obsidian ring, he holds my undying friendship.

About a week ago I became an apprentice to the Guardians of the Root. I have learned much from these wonderful souls and they have welcomed me like family. I could have never expected such kindness.. I really am beginning to feel like I belong here. Loreroot has become my home, the trees my kin. I still wonder why I ended up here, but I no longer seek an escape.
Day 109.
I've been here for nearly 4 months now, already it seems like a lifetime. I've become a Guardian of the forest, Agis has come and gone..as have many others. I miss them dearly. I have grown a family, a sister..A group of people anyone would be blessed to have. When I came to these lands, they were strange to me..I now find myself hard-pressed to recall life before. I find my day to day life changing....
Where before it was filled with fire dances and carnival tricks, I now find them filled with training..building myself into a warrior worthy of the title Guardian.

As the sands of time change I find myself following suit. So much has evolved within me, my family is helping me greatly with the transition. Namely Shemhazaj, he is my mentor and has taught me a great many things...he can always make me smile. Carved me a beautiful amethyst flutterby.

One thing I miss greatly is the night... Ohh how I miss the stars. All is more gorgeous in the nightly sky. I pray I never forget the tender darkness...
I am Evolving, Changing, Growing..being pulled toward my fate....
